How to Prepare Our Coffee

  1. Ensure your grind size is correct.
  2. Measure 1 tablespoon of Sumseron coffee per 240ml of H2O.
  3. Personal preference may vary on dosage.
  4. Add hot water at 93.3°C to your coffee.
  5. Stir or agitate and allow it to immerse for about 3 minutes 30 seconds.
  6. Filter your coffee and decant to enhance exceptional flavours.
  7. Engage your senses while enjoying the brew.

Our Process

Planting

We select high-quality seedlings from Kenya’s finest Arabica varieties—SL-28, Batian, and Ruiru 11—using eco-friendly, climate-smart farming to ensure healthy, productive coffee trees.

Harvesting

Our skilled farmers hand-pick cherries at peak ripeness during two seasons: main harvest (October-December) and early harvest (April-June), ensuring top quality.

Processing

We use fully washed, natural, and anaerobic fermentation methods, with special options like Black Honey, Yellow Honey, and Carbonic Maceration to highlight each bean’s flavour.

Sun Drying

We sun dry our coffees, either natural or fully washed, on raised beds closer to the pulping station to enhance their natural flavours.

Roasting

Our expert roasters bring out the full potential of every bean, unlocking rich flavours and aromas.

Packaging

We pack green coffee in GrainPro and Jute bags (60kg), and roasted coffee in pouches with a single window valve (250g, 500g, 1kg).

Warehouse

We store our coffee at AGL (Africa Global Logistics) - kenya and Mitchell Cotts, ensuring optimal conditions for quality.

Marketing
